The Summary Of Global Minion War
(August 2005-Present)
Peace, prosperity, and happiness. Do they ever exist, or are they a myth that
all the people of Ansalon want to believe in? I soon discovered the world of
Ansalon lives for the war, and so it began...
A quiet, little, organization met one dark night. Their purpose was to bring
their lord into this world. Using an old ritual long forgotten, they summoned
his minions to increase his power on this world. These minions were known as
"The Minions of Chaos". Three in all, they were given the power to blanket the
world in chaos, thus granting their lord, Chaos, the power to release himself
into this world. The first had the power to alter the existence of those around
it. It was unleashed on the Plains of Dust. The inhabitants on the lands
soon met an undesirable fate. Popping up everywhere, were fish with feet, birds
with scales, and people with undesirable traits. Knowing its existence was
detrimental to their own goals, a unknown clan stepped to the front with the aid
of some unlikely heroes. Stepping up to the plate they faced the minion using an
artifact found from a secluded shrine. The battle was felt in the heavens as the
two teams collided. In the end the minion fell, but at a great cost to some of
its enemies. Many found their actual makeup changes. One for instance, lives
each day with small protruding horns from his head. Another lost her arms. A
small price to save the world.
The second minion was released onto Solamnia, where it took to the high seas.
Its possessed the power to steal souls, thus denying them the afterlife with
their chosen deity. Ships were turning up all over the coast empty of its
passengers, but filled with cargo. The search began for its source, but by this
time the minion made its way to land. Making its mark on Star Port, it began
making its way inland. People were baffled at the
sight of entire cities empty of its habitants. It was not long until the source
was discovered. Again the people of Ansalon faced the deadly foe in a battle
that shook the heavens. This time there were more involved than the first.
Unleashing the souls it had within, the minion fought fiercely. In the
heat of the battle it reveled, as it stole the soul of a powerful dragon. This
triumph was not enough. With the aid of his party, a shadow
dragon, incased the minion in a vessel. Imprisoned the people of Ansalon sighed
a sigh of relief.
The third minion, the most powerful of all, remained diligent in the background.
His power was the most devastating of all. He had the power to create chaos in
the minds of the people. Slowly lands fell to his power as crime and war
continued to escalate in all the lands. Battles, sieges, and rebellions were
felt in Solamnia and Neraka. The minion knew these places would be the easiest
with the old flames still brewing between the two.
Working its magic, soon the flames would be lit once more. Fires began to grow
wildly consuming all in its path. First to fill its rage was Kalaman, which feel
to the Knights of Takhisis. In response the Solamnics sent a campaign to
Sanction. After a quick victory, they take the city under their wing. Meanwhile
in Abanasian, Solace falls to the strength of the Knights of Takhisis.
Immediately they begin to build a dark tower within its
domain. In the forest of Qualinost, dark elves rise to the occasion.
Assaulting the elves of the city, the streets are filled with elven blood.
Their fate did not look good until the Solamnics came to their aid. With a
dragonwing overhead, and one unlikely hero below, they squished the rebellion
and discovered a magical device causing the dark elves hatred. Destroying
it, the lone Solamnic and some merry elves released the dark
elves of the charm. On the opposite side of Ansalon, the Knights of Takhisis
answered the call of the Solamnics aggressiveness. With a large army they
marched to Sanction's gates, where some say the avatar of Takhisis herself was
present. It is said she called down the poisonous gasses of the volcanoes, thus
killing everyone inside, man, woman, and child.
And so this is where we stand. The third minion still roams freely. Many have
been unsuccessful in finding it. Will they succeed, or will the fate of the
world lie with Chaos himself? Will the Gods of Krynn step in to stop this fate?
Or have they left the world once again?

A Personal Note From
Paladine
This is the first time, I have ran an rp on this
grand of a scale. I have a wonderful time doing these post. It is very
interesting to see what each person comes up with each week. I was rather
enthralled to see battle plans displayed. But further more, I must say the rise
to power from an unknown goblin impressed me quite a bit. His tactics warrant a
"two thumbs up". Using tactics of diversion and manipulation, he took over the
tribe without a fight. He proceeded to turn the goblins from a bunch of dirty
filthy scum, to a group with pride and battle prowess.
On another occasion, I seen the rise of a follower of Takhisis turn "uber" evil
(fitting the mold of his Dark Queen). If there is a player out there one loves
to hate, it would be this one. At every corner you can find him creating all
sorts of chaos to his foes.
On this note, the behind the scene prowess is excellent. One lady on the mud,
works behind the scenes doing some pretty evil things to others. For instance
framing a Cleric of Paladine for crimes she did not commit. What keeps me at
awe, she covers her tracks so well, she is never caught.
On another note, I have to give it up for the Clerics out there. I have never
seen clerics played so well to fit their faith. Clerics of Zeboim, Takhisis,
Chemosh, Paladine (just to name a few) never seem to cease to amaze me.
I could go on about the wonderful experiences I have had with this war, but I
have talked too much already. The only thing I ask, is keep the post coming. Oh,
and try to get more involved.

The world of Ansalon quickly is succumbed by the forces struggling for power. In
Solamnia, the energy is felt the most severe. The minions of Takhisis slowly
take over the surrounding lands. To this date their claims include most of
Abanasinia, Kalaman, and possibly Silvanost. The war in Silvanost continues on,
but the elves have received aid from an outside source.
The rift continues to grow, as creatures from the plane of chaos slowly file
into the world to do its masters bidding. As there influence continues to grow,
strange things begin to take shape. Mages and Clerics find their spell going
crazy. Rivers seam to be flowing in the opposite directions. These are only a
few of the unusual occurances.
There still remains one minion the people fear. Seach parties continue to look
for its where-abouts, but they only get a quick glimpse of the beast, or do not
see it all. Rumor has it, the minion might be in the city of Sanction. Some
claim the people there have died from a massive poisonous gas, killing everyone
within.

Screams can be heard from around the world, as the rift fuses the world with its
energies. Slowly it creeps claim the lands as its own, and with it new beings
step forth from its connection. Beings twisted beyond recognition step out in
the world creating a mess in their wake.
In Ohme, a mass struggle for power has quickly come to an end as a giant armada
lays claim to its new territory. Some report it was a gruesome sight, as the
minotuars slaughtered everything in their path. Others report acts of pillaging
and violation of women. The people of Solamnia cry out for justice to be served.
Will the Solamnic knights answer the call?
In Tarsis, the war rages on as a very large force joins the fray.
Surrounded and out numbered, the goblins are decimated to half their size as
they are bombarded from all sides (including the air). Will the goblins continue
to uphold some sort of honor? Only time will tell.
In Abanasinia, the minions of Takhisis continue to strengthen their hold on the
land. Slowly the land falls to their clutches little by little.
In Sanction, the war continues fiercely as they remain at a stand still.
Some of those in the battle field claim they here a voice giving them hope and
strength to continue on. Rumors report that the dead are awakening in the
battlefield. Neither side take claim for this action.
The battle in Silvanost, takes quite a surprise. The followers of Takhisis have
mysteriously bypassed the magical protections of the city and gated inside the
city. The elves within are caught off guard, and this could spell the doom for
the majestic civilization.
In Palanthas the festival begins in honor of the heroes. Only two of the heroes
have shown their presence, and many of the citizens wonder why the others have
failed to come. The troop of musicians continue to turn heads, as they lead the
festival with wonderful melodies and playwrights.
Rumors are spreading like wildfires near the Qualinesti Forest. Many of the
mages of the Conclave, quickly leave their homes to the Wayreth Forest.
Quiet in their affairs, many people are curious as to what would cause them to
leave so quickly.
